Some people are complaining that Mi Fitness counts extra steps from phone's sensor, which started with version 3.19.0i. Sometimes it causes the number of steps to double.

A quick investigation led me to class com.xiaomi.fitness.steps.PhoneStepsProviderImpl.
From the source code, it appears that only MIUI based phones are acting as an additional steps provider with no option to disable it.

I got around this problem by making isSupported() method always return false. The app now accurately counts steps only from the band.

May be you can add this workaround to your Mod, may be with parameter. I think others may find this feature useful.

I can do nothing for you, sorry. You can install Global Firmware using m0tral MOD app, but you will have to pay...
