In Czech eshop I was told EXACLY the same thing, but I highly doubt their source legitimacy... Won't risk buying it, realizing there won't be update to enable it, see PRO model come out and then be unable to resell the non-NFC MB5 for good price.
I don't see the point of implementing new devices in their apps if it's not to announce them. Also, if they already implemented them, they should have prototypes to test the app. If they announce new devices, it should be before than a year from now ahahah
